Let’s face it Goa has forever been regarded as the go to place to try new things, rebel (in a good way), think and make your own adventure. Situated in west India, Goa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. However, it strays away from the normal reasons why one would go to visit a place. We’ll see how it’s different, let’s go.
As we pick you up from the airport/station. We head for our luxurious and grand hotel. This is one of the highlights of the trip. Not only will Goa amaze you with its relaxing vibe and gorgeous views but the hotel isn’t far behind. Here you will be able to enjoy all the modern amenities plus a private beach. Chilling at a private beach may sound ordinary till you try it. Anyways coming back to the itinerary, once we are checked in you are free to do as you please for the rest of the day. You can go check out the local market and experience the local flavour and people. You can chill at the beach, rent a scooter and roam about a bit. For dinner however we will be setting up a bonfire on the private beach and dine under the starlit sky.
Today we set off early after breakfast. We will be going to explore North Goa today. Goa is a coastal town hence there are a lot of beaches here. All them are very different though and it never gets repetitive. We start by going to Fort Aguada. From there we head on to Coco, Anjuna and Baga beaches. While at Calangute we will also visit Calangute Annexe. After the sightseeing is done, we head back to the hotel to relax. Back at the hotel, after a short resting phase, we will take you to the private beach as we get set to enjoy a night of Goan food and live music.
On day 3 we head off to explore the southern part of Goa. We’ll start off with a couple of temples, namely, Shri Manguesh at Priol and Shri Shantadurga Temples at Kavlem. Keeping up with the spiritual theme we then head towards the churches Old Goa has in store for us. First up is the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral. After lunch we head on to see the Dona Paula Bay and Miramar Beach. To cap it all off, on our way back we halt at Panjim Market for those of you who would like to take a bit of Goa home with you.
Once back and rested we again head off for the Mandovi River Cruise. We begin today spiritually as we go to see the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple. This is the spot of the samadhi of Baba Harbhajan Singh. The saint acts a protector of the soldiers posted along the border. The Himalayan Zoological Park is up next. Situated at a height of 1780mts this zoo not only houses unique local animals but also offers a great view od Mt. Khangchendzonga. When we head towards the Rangit river valley we will visit the much-anticipated Reshi Hot Springs. To end the day, we will visit one of the quintessential stupas in Sikkim – Do Drul Chorten – built in 1945 under the guidance of Truslshi and Rimpoche. It is adorned by 108 prayer wheels
Today we say goodbye to Goa and head back home. We will take you to the airport/station as you appreciate the break you took and feel rejuvenated to set back to work.
